Sound familiar?

You're not imagining it.

  • Your voice shakes, your heart races, or your mind goes blank right when it matters most.
  • You know the material cold in private but freeze the moment eyes are on you.
  • You spend more energy dreading the event than preparing for it.
  • One bad presentation, audition, or toast is stuck on replay and now every new one feels riskier.
  • Generic 'just breathe and visualize success' advice doesn't touch what actually happens to you in the moment.

How it works

A few quiet steps.

01

Answer a short set of adaptive questions about your specific event, how nerves show up in your body and mind, and what a strong past performance felt like.

02

We build a personal formulation — your symptom pattern, your self-focus worries, your timeline to the event — not a generic script.

03

You get a guided mental-rehearsal audio session using the technique matched to your pattern: calming the body, quieting a blanking mind, or rebuilding avoidance into approach.

04

A 3-session arc moves from calming the immediate stress response, to full PETTLEP-style mental rehearsal of your actual event, to an event-week confidence anchor you can use standing in the wings.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is this therapy, coaching, or medical treatment?

No. This is a mental-rehearsal and self-hypnosis-style audio tool for performance nerves — presentations, meetings, weddings, auditions, sports. It is not psychotherapy, not public-speaking coaching, and not a substitute for care from a licensed clinician when anxiety is broader than a specific event.

I get anxious in almost every social situation, not just performances — is this still right for me?

This pack is built for event-specific performance nerves, not anxiety that shows up across most everyday social situations (meeting new people, eating in front of others, phone calls, etc.). If that's your pattern, it may be closer to social anxiety disorder, and you'll get more benefit from our adult-anxiety pack or, if it's significantly affecting your life, a licensed therapist. We'll check for this during intake.

What if I have panic attacks before performances, not just nerves?

If you experience real panic attacks — a racing heart, chest tightness, or breathlessness that comes on suddenly and feels frightening, separate from ordinary nervousness — please see a doctor first to rule out medical causes. This tool is built for performance nerves, not panic disorder.

Should I ask my doctor about beta-blockers instead?

Some people do use prescription beta-blockers for situational performance anxiety (auditions, exams, big presentations). That's a medical decision between you and your doctor — we can't advise on medication, but it's a completely reasonable thing to raise with them alongside using this tool.

Can this help with sports performance too, not just speaking?

Yes. The mental-rehearsal session in this pack uses the same evidence-based approach (PETTLEP-style imagery) sport psychologists use with athletes — imagining your actual performance context in vivid, multisensory detail. It applies just as well to a big game, a match, or a competition as it does to a presentation or audition.

What if I still blank or freeze during the actual event?

No audio session guarantees a perfect performance. What this builds is familiarity — you'll have mentally rehearsed the moment enough times that your body and mind have a rehearsed path back to steady, even if a stumble happens. A stumble is not a failure; recovering from one, calmly, is part of what we rehearse.
