About Mindmosis

How Mindmosis began.

Mindmosis didn't begin as a business. It began as a dad trying to help his son.

The founder's young son was struggling with ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), which made trying new foods an enormous source of anxiety. After working through feeding therapy and cognitive behavioral treatment for ARFID, progress was frustratingly slow.

So he decided to try something different.

Using what the family had learned from therapy, research, and their own experience, he built a simple tool specifically for his son. The goal wasn't to replace professional care. It was to give them something they could use at home: something patient, encouraging, personalized, and available whenever they needed it.

It became part of their nightly routine.

Before bed, father and son would listen together. In those quiet moments, when the pressures and distractions of the day were gone, the sessions helped him relax, visualize success, and become more comfortable with ideas and experiences that normally created anxiety. The experience combined calming techniques, positive suggestion, visualization, and gradual exposure concepts to reinforce the work they were doing during the day.

Instead of making food another source of pressure, the sessions encouraged tiny, manageable steps. Trying something new became an accomplishment to celebrate rather than a battle to win.

And for one family, something originally created out of frustration began making a real difference.

From one family to many.

What started as a one-child, one-purpose experiment quickly became something more. Conversations with friends, parents, and others in the community made it clear that many people were facing their own challenges and looking for practical tools they could use at home.

That realization became Mindmosis.

Since then, we've expanded beyond our original ARFID experience to create guided, interactive tools designed to help people work through challenges, build better habits, face fears, and make lasting changes in their lives.

And we're just getting started.

New tools and areas of expertise are continually being added to Mindmosis, but the idea behind all of them remains the same:

Use technology to make evidence-informed self-help techniques more personal, accessible, and easier to put into practice in everyday life.

Where it started.

Our ARFID and picky eating program for kids is still at the heart of Mindmosis, and so is the research behind it.

Wellness support, not medical or psychological care.
