Break the Loop
It stopped being a decision a while ago.
A short intake, then a personalized guided audio series built around your actual loop — the cue, the moment before, the thing it's doing for you — and the specific situations where it gets you every time.

Sound familiar?
You're not imagining it.
- You've said 'just this once' and 'last time' enough that the words don't mean anything anymore.
- The urge arrives and there's no gap between it and your hands already doing the thing.
- You're hiding it — clearing history, closing tabs, being vague about money or time.
- You promise yourself limits and blow past them, then feel awful, then do it again to stop feeling awful.
- Everything you find online is either for drinking or for people who've hit rock bottom, and neither one is you.
How it works
A few quiet steps.
Answer a short set of adaptive questions about the behaviour, the moments it grabs you, and what it's actually doing for you — plus a direct screen so we can point you somewhere better if a substance is involved.
We build a personal loop map — the cue, the gap before the action, the payoff, the aftermath — and the specific high-risk situations that account for most of it.
You get a guided audio session using the approach matched to your loop: riding out an urge, changing what's within reach, or rehearsing a decision you've already made.
A 4-part arc moves from seeing the loop clearly, to sitting through an urge without acting, to redesigning your environment and rituals, to rehearsing the situations that actually trip you up.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Does this work for drinking or smoking?
No, and we'll say so during intake. If alcohol is the issue, the mindful-drinking pack is built for that and includes a proper dependence screen. If it's nicotine — vaping or cigarettes — the quit-vaping pack is the right one. If it's opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, or any other drug, we'll stop and point you toward professional care instead, because substance dependence has medical risks an audio app has no business managing. This pack is for behavioural loops only.
Is 'behavioural addiction' even a real thing?
Partly, and we'd rather be straight with you about it. Gambling disorder is a formally recognised diagnosis, and gaming disorder is recognised in the WHO's international classification. Compulsive sexual behaviour is classified as an impulse-control problem rather than an addiction, and 'shopping addiction' and 'phone addiction' aren't formal diagnoses at all — which doesn't mean the loop isn't real or isn't costing you, just that the science is thinner than the internet suggests. We use techniques with evidence behind them and don't pretend the labels are settled.
Do I have to quit completely, or can I cut back?
It depends on the behaviour and we ask you directly. For gambling, the treatment literature generally points toward stopping rather than controlled betting, and we'll be honest about that. For gaming, shopping, or scrolling, a boundaried version is usually a realistic goal. Either way, the sessions are built around the goal you actually set, not one we assume for you.
What if gambling has left me in serious debt?
Then the debt needs a person, not a recording. Financial harm from gambling is closely linked with serious distress and risk, and there are free specialist services — debt advice and gambling helplines — that deal with exactly this. If that's where you are, we'll flag it and point you there rather than building you a session.
Is there real evidence for hypnosis with this stuff?
Very little, specifically. What has evidence is what we deliver inside the session: urge surfing from mindfulness-based relapse prevention, changing your environment so the cue doesn't reach you, if-then planning, and cognitive-behavioural approaches for gambling. We use a hypnotic, imagery-led format to rehearse those, because rehearsal is where the format genuinely helps — not because hypnosis has been shown to cure compulsive behaviour.
How long are sessions and how often should I listen?
Sessions default to about 15 minutes. Most people do best with a consistent daily listen through the 4-part series, plus a relisten of the urge-surfing session at times of day the intake identified as high-risk.
