Release Jaw Tension & Ease Grinding
Let your jaw finally rest.
A short intake, then a personalized guided audio session built around how tension actually shows up for you — clenching at your desk, grinding at night, or both — designed to work alongside your dentist or night guard, not instead of them.
Wellness support, not medical or psychological care. Cancel anytime.
Sound familiar?
You're not imagining it.
- You catch yourself clenched — jaw tight, teeth together — while driving, working, or scrolling, and don't remember starting.
- You wake up with a sore jaw, tight temples, or a dull headache and your partner says you grind at night.
- Stress seems to land straight in your jaw before you even notice you're tense anywhere else.
- You have (or were told to get) a night guard, but building an actual wind-down habit around it feels like one more thing.
- Generic relaxation apps talk about your shoulders and breath but never mention your jaw at all.
How it works
A few quiet steps.
Answer a short set of adaptive questions about when your jaw tenses up, your dental care and night guard use, and how stress shows up in your body.
We build a personal formulation — whether clenching mostly happens awake, grinding mostly happens asleep, or both — since these have different patterns and call for different techniques.
You get a guided audio session using the technique best matched to your pattern: daytime clench-awareness training, pre-sleep jaw-unwinding, or both.
A 4-session series moves from releasing jaw and face tension and installing a relaxed rest posture, to building daytime clench-awareness tied to your own triggers, to a pre-sleep wind-down — and then, for nighttime grinding, a full-depth ~30-minute Deep Night session designed to be fallen asleep to, night after night.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Can this cure my bruxism or TMD?
No. This is a comfort, relaxation, and awareness-building audio tool — it does not diagnose, treat, or cure bruxism, temporomandibular disorder (TMD/TMJ), or any dental or medical condition. It supports the stress and habit side of jaw clenching and teeth grinding, alongside proper dental care.
Do I still need to see a dentist?
Yes — please do, especially if you haven't had your jaw or teeth evaluated recently. A dentist can check for tooth wear, fit you for a night guard if appropriate, and rule out other causes of jaw pain. We ask about your dental care during intake, and this app works best as a companion to that care, not a substitute for it.
I already have a night guard — is this still useful?
Very much so. A night guard protects your teeth from the physical impact of grinding, but it doesn't address the stress or habit patterns that drive clenching during the day, or help you unwind before bed. This app is designed to work alongside your night guard, not replace it — please keep wearing it as your dentist recommended.
My jaw sometimes locks or clicks loudly — is that okay?
If your jaw locks (open or closed), you can't fully open or close your mouth, or you have severe jaw pain, please see a dentist or TMJ/TMD specialist rather than continuing here — those symptoms need a hands-on evaluation this app cannot provide. Mild, painless clicking is common and we'll still ask about it during intake.
Is my clenching from a medication I'm taking?
Some medications, including certain antidepressants and stimulants, are known to increase jaw clenching or teeth grinding as a side effect. We ask about this during intake — if it sounds like a possible match, we'll suggest you bring it up with your prescriber. We never give medication advice or suggest changing a dose.
How long are sessions and when should I listen?
Most sessions default to about 10 minutes. The daytime awareness session works well listened to earlier in the day or whenever you notice tension building; the pre-sleep wind-down is meant to be played lying down, lights off, as part of your bedtime routine. The Deep Night session is longer — around 30 minutes — and is built to be fallen asleep to.
What is the Deep Night session?
Nighttime grinding happens while you're unconscious, so a quick daytime session can't reach it directly. The Deep Night session is a full-depth, ~30-minute bedtime session that uses the techniques the clinical hypnosis literature actually reports results with for sleep grinding: extended deepening, suggestions anchored to physical sleep cues like your head settling onto the pillow, and calming of the nervous-system arousal that research shows precedes grinding episodes. You're meant to fall asleep during it — no wake-up at the end — and to listen nightly for a few weeks, since this works by repetition, not in one listen. It complements your night guard; it doesn't replace it. Never listen while driving.
